Because geography should not determine access to opportunity. South Africa's creative economy has historically concentrated significant production and post-production infrastructure within its major metropolitan centres. At the same time, stories are being created everywhere. The Eastern Cape has an extraordinary cultural and storytelling legacy, but access to specialist screen-sector infrastructure remains comparatively limited. Seismic Post sees that gap as an opportunity. Not simply to create another post-production company. But to help build a stronger creative economy around it.
Our physical home is in the Eastern Cape. Our ambition extends far beyond it. Through remote workflows and digital collaboration, Seismic Post is being built to service projects nationally, across the African continent and internationally. We want an international producer to be able to work with East London as easily as Johannesburg, Cape Town, London or Berlin. That is the opportunity technology creates.
